Whether you are in a time crunch or can’t leave your location, Great Lakes Signing Co. will be there promptly and ready to assist with any documents. We offer in-person meetings at rate of $5 per act or mobile notary services starting at $70.00.
What is a notarization?
A notarization is a formal process that verifies the authenticity of a documents signature, ensuring that the person signing is who they claim to be and is doing so willingly and with full understanding of the contents of the document. Notarized documents are often required for legal transactions, such as deeds and powers of attorney, to prevent fraud and ensure the integrity of the documents involved.
How to be prepared
In order to offer the best service, please follow these guidelines to always be prepared for your notarization appointment.
Gather all required documents
DO NOT SIGN BEFORE HAND
Ensure document is complete and free of any errors
Bring a valid government issued photo ID
Driver’s License
State ID
Passport
Ensure the notary has all important information before the appointment to save your time and receive the best service possible.
Be prepared to complete payment at the end of the appointment. We accept many forms of payment:
Cash
Check
Zelle
Venmo
PayPal
Stripe
Credit/Debit Card
Check for witness requirements.
If your document requires a witness to be present, make sure the notary is aware of this before the appointment, as a notary public cannot act as a witness and notarize for the same document.
What is the process?
The notarization process is very simple and fast. The process is as follows:
Make an appointment by website, call, message, or email.
Arrive to the appointment no later than 15 minutes after the appointment start time.
Explain your situation to the notary public and what you need.
Take an oath or affirmation (if document requires).
Sign & date in the specified areas of the document.
Submit payment to notary public.
That’s it! You’ve gotten your document(s) notarized and can submit them to the receiving party.
